Raccord Ltd were awarded this project following the successful completion of 31 apartments and sky gardens in the heart of London fields. The second phase of the Fisheries consisted of a 25,000sq feet co working space designed by owner Hugo Warner (founder of Benugo Coffee). The design of the building is bespoke and required considerable coordination between mechanical and electrical contractors to achieve the desired finish.
The co working space covers three floors from lower ground to first floor with over 380 work stations, 12 meeting rooms, private event space, photography studio, library and a recording studio. With an unparalleled eye for detail and a design flair Hugo has created a workspace that has transformed the local area, with reclaimed lighting throughout and many original features sympathetically restored great care was taken to ensure that this installation gave the very best in building and electrical infrastructure without the corporate office feel, the outcome is an area being dubbed one of Londons top work spaces for startups and entrepreneurs.
Morgan Elliott managed this project for Raccord and ensured it was a success, at pre-construction stage intrusive surveys and design planning meetings were required to facilitate a fully exposed installation both electrically and mechanically, Raccord worked with specialist suppliers to obtain original light fittings and components many needing painstaking rectification work to bring the up to current standards whilst maintaining the original characteristics. The programme duration was reduced significantly by the client to accommodate upcoming events and Raccord worked to achieve this. This included regular programme reviews and extended working hours including a 24 hour working window where required.
Morgan Elliott: “This was a great project to work on and an installation type you definitely don’t see everyday, I’m glad we completed it for the client on time, on budget and look forward to working with them in the future"
“Raccord really bought into what we have tried to build here and it is evident from the finished product that they have a passion for what they do"
